IHG's Priority Club Rewards Surpasses One Million Members For Greater China
InterContinental Hotels Group's Priority Club Rewards welcomed its one millionth member in Greater China this month.
IHG claims Priority Club Rewards is the world's largest hotel loyalty program with over 37 million members worldwide. On average, 20,000 new members join Priority Club Rewards every month in Greater China.
"We are thrilled with the rapid growth of our Priority Club Rewards in Greater China, which has exceeded our expectations. This is a clear demonstration that Chinese consumers are increasing their preference for IHG brands, including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. IHG's continued expansion across the region enables consumers to gain points even quicker and benefit more from their membership," said Gary Rosen, senior vice president, sales and marketing, IHG Asia Pacific.
IHG currently has 84 hotels in Greater China with over 100 new hotels in the development pipeline. The company signed close to 100 new hotels across Asia Pacific in 2007, with seven in 10 signings for hotels in Greater China. With the tourism industry booming and closer economic ties between key world markets, China is seeing a growing number of frequent domestic and international travelers. The global Priority Club Rewards program has won the trust of both local and international guests for its flexibility, ease-of-use and wide variety of benefits.
