Expanded Airport Gives Travelers Better Access To Qufu

The Jining Qufu Airport will be unveiled this September and it will end the drought of no large civil airport in that area of Shandong.

It is located at Jiaxiang county within Jining, 90 kilometers from Qufu and only 26 kilometers from Jining. The tourists to Qufu on sightseeing are expected to be main travel resources of this new airport.

After opened, the airport will initially open five routes to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao, and Xi'an, with eventual plans for international routes.

Qufu is the legendary birthplace of Confucius, with tourism areas including the Mansion, Temple and Cemetery of Confucius which enjoys a worldwide fame as a traditional Chinese cultural site.
