Kam Air Opens Route From Kabul To Urumqi
Kam Air, which is the first private airline in Afghanistan, launched a new international route from Afghanistan's capital Kabul to Urumqi on May 26.
In 2003, Ariana Afghan Airlines formally opened a round-trip route between Kabul and Urumqi. The new service is operated using Boeing 767-200 aircraft. There are temporarily two weekly flights – every Monday and Thursday. The flight starts from Kabul at 17:00, arriving at Urumqi at 20:00; the return flight departs from Urumqi at 10:35, and arrives at Kabul at 13:25.
Prior to this, Kam Air had negotiated with Xinjiang Airport (Group) Company Limited on several aspects including the initial flight and ground services. After negotiation, the two companies signed an agent agreement for all ground services.
