Jet Airways To Open Shanghai Nonstop Routes

Jet Airways will open two daily nonstop routes from Shanghai to Bombay and San Francisco, respectively, from June 14, 2008.

In doing this, the company becomes the first private airline in India to connect Bombay with San Francisco via Shanghai. The new service should meet the requirements of business and leisure passengers traveling between the three cities and offers a savings over their normal flying time.

The company will apparently operate the new route using new Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft. The flight will start from Bombay at 11:15 local time and arrive at Shanghai at 19:45 local time, then depart from Shanghai at 21:45 and arrive at San Francisco at 18:15; the return flight will depart from San Francisco at 20:45, arrive at Shanghai at 01:30 two days later, then depart from Shanghai at 03:30 and arrive at Bombay at 08:25.
