China Eastern Adds Surcharge For International Routes
China Eastern Airlines has announced that it has adjusted its surcharge fees on its international long-distance routes from June 1, 2008.
Of these China Eastern has increased surcharges from CNY600 to CNY800 on the routes from China's mainland to Oceania, America, Europe, and Africa. From June 1, surcharges for the routes from South Korea, except the route from, Chejudao to mainland China increased from USD54 to USD62 while that for the route from Chejudao to mainland China was upped from USD25 to USD62; the surcharge for the route from mainland China to Chejudao increased from CNY180 to CNY420 while the surcharge fees for the other routes from mainland China to South Korea remained the same.
Meanwhile, China Eastern has increased the surcharge for the routes from mainland China to Hong Kong from CNY114 to CNY154 and that for the route from Hong Kong to mainland China is upped from HKD125 to HKD171.
