Crowne Plaza Zhongguancun Beijing Picks GM

George Chiu has been appointed general manager of the Crowne Plaza Zhongguancun Beijing.

Armed with more then 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Chiu has worked with international brands such as Hyatt, Mandarin Oriental, Westin and Shangri-La. He has held several senior positions and was also the area general manager responsible for the Shangri-La Group rapid growing operations in China. His most recent position was the general manager of Crowne Plaza Hotel and Suites Landmark Shenzhen.

Born in Hong Kong, Chiu speaks fluent English, German, Cantonese and Mandarin. He holds two degrees from Swiss Hotel Management School and Cornell University, respectively.
