Shenzhen Airlines Plans To Set Up Base In Chongqing
Shenzhen Airlines recently flew in its first on-site aircraft at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport as the beginning of setting up its base in Chongqing.
The company said that it would open the Chongqing-Nanjing-Dalian and Chongqing-Sanya route, and restore the routes from Shenzhen to Lhasa and Xishuangbanna via Chongqing starting from this July. With the opening of these routes, Shenzhen Airlines will have a total of nine routes through Chongqing airport. It is reported that Shenzhen Airlines has reached an agreement with Chongqing municipal government on its Chongqing branch.
In recent years, passenger flow at Chongqing airport has increased by 20% year on year, attracting more and more airlines to settle in the airport. For example, Air China and Sichuan Airlines have established bases and installed the relevant transportation capacity in Chongqing. The increasing number of base companies of airlines is expected to contribute to the expansion of the Chongqing airport flight network.
