Xiamen Airlines Plans To Set Up Office At Taipei Songshan Airport

Because cross-strait weekend charter flight services are scheduled to start from July 4 this year, Xiamen Airlines plans to set up its office on Minquan East Road, Taipei – near to Taipei Songshan Airport.

The company is expected to be the pioneer mainland airline operating services in Taiwan. Meanwhile, China Eastern Airlines is reported to have decided to build its operational offices in Taipei and Kaohsiung, while the other airlines from Chinese mainland also went to Taiwan to select suitable locations to carry out their aviation business.

Xiamen Airlines as a company focusing on regional flights in mainland China choose the shortest air distance between Taiwan and mainland China – from Taipei Songshan Airport to Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. Once direct charter flights are operational, passengers from Taiwan will be able to travel to other destinations in mainland China on Xiamen Airlines' domestic flights. So the company decided to set up its office near to Taipei Songshan Airport.
