Lucky Air Opens Nonstop Kunming-Tianjin Route

Lucky Air Company Limited has opened its first nonstop route from Kunming to Tianjin.

The new service is reported to be the first nonstop route between Tianjin and Kunming through Tianjin Airport in the last two years. The direct flight is operated once a day using Boeing 737-700 aircraft. The flight leaves from Kunming at 8:30, arriving at Tianjin at 11:30; the return flight departs from Tianjin at 12:10 and arrives at Kunming three and a half hours later. °°°°

Originally, there were two transit flights from Tianjin to Kunming operated by Okay Airways with an occupancy ratio of about 80%. The additional nonstop service is expected to enhance the aviation transportation capacity between the Beijing-Tianjin area and tour cities in southwest China, and provide more convenience for business travelers and FIT between these two cities.

Launched on February 26, 2006, Lucky Air is one of four airlines in the HNA Tourism Group. Currently, the company has seven Boeing 737 aircraft and is operating 15 routes connecting to 14 cities in the southwest, central, east and northeast regions of China. Its fleet is expected to have a total of ten aircraft by the end of this year. This June, HNA Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Yunnan Provincial Government to form a new airline in Yunnan to be resourced mainly by Lucky Air.
