Bangkok Airways Opens Bangkok-Macau Route

Bangkok Airways has launched a daily flight from Bangkok to Macau.

With the opening of this new route, Bangkok Airways became the third airline to operate the Bangkok-Macau flights from Macau International Airport, increasing the number of flights from Macau to Bangkok to 45 a week.

Liu Suning, managing director of Macau International Airport Company Limited said that the Southeast Asian market has maintained a stable growth in recent years, and Bangkok Airways' new route will provide more service options for Macau travelers to Bangkok, which is a popular tour city and this is expected to be favorable for the development of civil aviation in Macau.

According to published statistics, for the first half of 2008, the passenger flow through Macau International Airport increased by 19% compared to the same period of last year.
