The Finnish Tourist Board has held a tourism promotion event in Beijing after it has been renamed Visit Finland.
At the event, Visit Finland launched a series of winter tour products including outdoor activities, Santa Claus Village Finland, ice-breaking tours in polar region, and urban sightseeing around Finland.
According to the official statistics of Visit Finland, from January to July 2008, the number of nights that Chinese tourists stayed in Finland was 52,000, an increase of 16% year-on-year. For tour shopping spending, Chinese tourists also rose to second place after Russia among the international arrivals to Finland.
