Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts International has appointed Frank Wen as area manager and general manager of the Shangri-La Hotel, Dalian.

Wen is the first Chinese area manager in the Shangri-La Group. He will also oversee business in Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao; Shangri-La Hotel, Harbin; Shangri-La Hotel, Changchun; and Traders Hotel, Shenyang. He is a graduate of Nanjing University and has a PH.D in human resources management. A veteran hotelier, he has spent over 20 years in hotel management and in hotel talent education and training. His last position was as general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao.
