Netherlands Tourism Board Promotes Three Theme Products For 2009
Yang Yu, director of the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions in China, said at a Netherlands tours promotion meeting held in Beijing that in the first seven months of 2008, the number of Chinese tourists visiting the Netherlands had increased by 17% compared to the same period in 2007.
During the period from January through April 2008, the number of Chinese tourists to Netherlands was 31% higher than for the same period of last year, making China the fastest growing inbound market for Netherlands.
NBTC will launch three theme products during 2009: in the spring, in summer-autumn, and in the winter.
In addition, Yang also announced that NBTC will cooperate with five Dutch travel enterprises to launch a promotional network game , to consolidate and improve the awareness of Dutch travel service companies in the Chinese market, and to encourage more local tourism enterprises to participate in the Netherlands tours promotions as well as attracting more Chinese tourists to select the Netherlands as one of their tour destinations.
