Philip Chan has been appointed general manager of the Howard Johnson Caida Plaza Shanghai.

Originally from Hong Kong, Chan has over 30 years experience in the hotel and hospitality industry around Asia including Singapore, Taipei, and Kaohsiung, as well as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Fuzhou, Xi'an, and Dalian. His hotel career has included various management positions with multinational hotel chains such as Hilton International, Hyatt International, Delta International and New World International Hotels. Prior this appointment, he was the general manager of the Concord Deluxe Hotel Shanghai owned by the China Property Group.
