Changsha Opens New International Route To Osaka

A new direct air route from Changsha in Hunan to Osaka in Japan route is now open.

There is one flight a week on the new route, operated using Airbus A320 aircraft. The flight starts from Changsha at 09:00, arriving at Osaka at 11:40. It is estimated that a round-trip flight between Changsha and Osaka could halve the cost and save up to four and a half hours compared to the original eight hours required when flying indirectly.

In 2007, Hunan received 50,000 Japanese tourists. The Hunan Provincial Tourism Bureau said that with the opening of the Changsha-Osaka route, Hunan is expected to welcome more than 100,000 inbound tourists from Japan annually.
