Joseph Mak has been appointed general manager of Pullman Beijing West Wanda, and he is joined by Melissa Lau who is the new director of sales and marketing.

Mak, a Hong Kong citizen, joined Accor in 2000 as resident manager at Novotel Peace Beijing, and he then worked as hotel manager for Sofitel International Hotel Anshan during its pre-opening preparation. Most recently he was general manager of Sofitel Zhengzhou. Prior to joining Accor, Mak worked for Sheraton Tianjin, Greatwall Sheraton Beijing, Shangri-La Beijing, and the Marco Polo Group in Hong Kong.

Lau has 14 years sales experience and 18 years international hotel experience with international hotel brands including Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, Hilton International Group, Shangri-la Hotels and Resorts, and InterContinental Hotels Group. She joined Accor in December 2007.
