The famous oil painting "Drunken Beauty" by Liu Linghua recently went on view at the Hilton Shanghai as part of the hotel's "A Celebration of Chinese Art". Valued at approximately CNY50 million, Drunken Beauty is widely regarded as a first-rate example of quintessential Chinese painting style. The picture depicting a Chinese opera diva, was recreated in traditional Chinese embroidery and given as a gift from the 2008 Beijing Olympics Organizing Committee to various international delegations.
