China's Largest Hotel To Open In Zhangjiajie

Construction has started on schedule of the Zhangjiajie Dacheng Shanshui Tianxia International Hotel, which is reported to be the largest business travel hotel in China.

The hotel is invested in by Hunan Dacheng International Hotel Company, and is the first luxury five-star hotel focusing on business travel in Zhangjiajie. The total area of the hotel is expected to be 170,000 square meters with more than 2,000 guest rooms. The first phase of the project is expected to finish with topping out this October and is slated to open in May 2010.

The hotel is situated in Nanzhuangping, only 2.3 kilometers away from Zhangjiajie Lotus Airport and 1.5 kilometers away from the railway station.

According to Hunan Dacheng Hotel Company, business and meeting travelers account for 39.9% of all the tourists that visit Zhangjiajie each year. To meet the huge demand, the new hotel will have 15 medium and small multi-function rooms that can accommodate about 100 people each, and two 2,000 square meter meeting rooms with top facilities that have a capacity of 3,000 to 4,000 people for various events.
