Japan And Baidu.com Promote Individual Visits In China
The Visit Japan Campaign, a program from the Japan Tourism Agency that publicizes Japan's tourism appeal abroad, will cooperate with Chinese Internet search engine Baidu.com for exclusive Internet promotion services.
This is reportedly the first time that the Japanese government department has chosen a Chinese website for large-scale promotion. Earlier this year, Japan announced that individual visits to the country will be available for residents of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong from July 2009. The current number of 250,000 Chinese tourists a year visiting Japan is expected to increase one million each year.
According to Baidu.com, it will offer search engine promotion to keywords such as "Japan Travel" for the Visit Japan Campaign. People who are interested in traveling to Japan will quickly get to the official website of VJC and acquire overall information for visiting Japan on the website.
