Cathay Pacific Airways has announced that from December 3, 2009, it will codeshare on the twice-weekly flight between Hong Kong and Nadi in Fiji operated by Air Pacific.
Cathay Pacific and Air Pacific are the main airlines operating scheduled flights between Hong Kong and Fiji. Through this new codeshare, Cathay Pacific hopes to attract travelers from Hong Kong, mainland China, North and Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent and Europe to travel to Fiji, at the same time attract visitors from Fiji to travel in Hong Kong and connecting them to the rest of the world.
Air Pacific currently serves 25 destinations. Its network currently covers the islands of the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, and destinations in the United States and Canada.
