German-based Maritim Hotels, which focuses on providing conference facilities and accommodation in one venue, is planning to open its first hotel in Asia — the Maritim Hotel You-Town Beijing.
Scheduled to open in March, 2010 Maritim Hotel You-Town Beijing is located near the East Second Ring Road, in the center of Chaowai Business District, and 30 minutes drive from the airport. It is next to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is a part of the You-Town Lifestyle shopping center.
Built to international five-star standards, the hotel features 360 guestrooms and suites including three executive floors with their own lounge lounge. Food and beverage outlets include a German restaurant and an all-day international dining restaurant. For meetings and events there are 3,000 square meters of floor space including 11 function rooms and a glass-roofed foyer. The 1,029 square meter Maritim Ballroom can be sub-divided by a moving wall and can be easily be converted to host a gala dinner for 620 guests or a cocktail gathering for 1,500 people. The hotel has a rooftop venue, The Dome, a glass and steel architecture that can also be used for events.
