ANA And Air China To Codeshare Beijing To Tokyo-Haneda
Star Alliance members Air China and ANA will commence a codesharing agreement on flights operated by both airlines between Beijing Capital International Airport and Tokyo's Haneda Airport from October 25, 2009.
Beijing is the fourth city to be included in the international destination line-up from the normally domestic-only Haneda Airport, joining Seoul, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Due to the proximity of Haneda airport to the center of Tokyo, customers of Air China and ANA traveling between the capitals of both countries will enjoy shorter and more convenient journeys.
Air China will put its code on the daily flight of ANA, while ANA will put its code on the twice daily flights of Air China on this route, giving customers the choice of three daily Air China or ANA flights between Beijing and Haneda. In addition, since Air China and ANA are both members of Star Alliance, customers will also enjoy reciprocal mileage accrual and redemption, as well as lounge and other benefits where applicable.
With this agreement in place, the two airlines will offer a total 106 weekly flights between Tokyo and Beijing, and a total of 271 flights per week between Japan and China.
