New Information Platform For Sichuan's Tourism Industry

Sichuan Telecom, a subsidiary of China Telecom, and the Sichuan Provincial Tourism Administration will jointly set up the Sichuan Tourism Information Industry Company to promote information services about Sichuan's tourism industry.

The company will focus on two service systems: an online platform and a telephone hotline. The platform, will be a multi-channel comprehensive information service platform for supporting the industry's services, tourist product distribution, and brand marketing. Administrative departments will be able to gather industry news through this platform which is designed to provide a better basis for administrative decision making; while enterprises in the industry supply chain can optimize their business processes, reduce operating costs, expand sales channels, and improve tourist satisfaction via this platform.

The travel service hotline 12301, combined with websites, broadcasting, WAP, and voice services, will offer a public travel information service system covering the whole of Sichuan province, so that tourists can get timely and accurate information.
