China Airlines To Open Taipei-Miyazaki Route In 2010

From January 21, 2010, Taiwan's China Airlines will launch an international air route from Taipei to Miyazaki in Japan.

Located to the southeast of Kyushu, Miyazaki is the origin of many Japanese myths, and was also the hometown of Japan's first mikado. It has famous tourist attractions such as Aoshima shrine and Takachiho Gorge.

The airline is scheduling two flights each week for this route, on Thursdays and Sundays. Flight CI-114 will take off from Taipei at 14:00 and arrive at Miyazaki at 16:50 local time; the return flight CI-115 will depart from Miyazaki at 18:00 and get back to Taipei at 19:25 local time.

After the launch of this new service, China Airlines will have 81 flights each week flying to eight destinations in Japan: Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Miyazaki, and Ryukyu.
