Chengdu Airlines To Concentrate On Tourist And Regional Routes

Following its restructuring by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Chengdu Communications Investment Group, and Chengdu Airlines Company, the new Chengdu Airlines will be established in January 22, 2010.

In the meantime, China's first privately-owned airline, United Eagle Airlines Company, will no longer exist.

United Eagle Airlines launched its first flight in July 2005. On October 15, 2009, CACC, CCIC, and Sichuan Airlines signed a cooperation agreement to restructure this privately owned airline, and CACC became the biggest stockholder of the airline.

Chengdu Airlines will take the stylized Sunbird as its badge and will concentrate on tourist routes and regional routes.
