Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced the launch of its interactive mobile website which allows guests to view the group's latest news and to book rooms conveniently.
The website is available in two formats, making it compatible with both touch screen mobile phones like iPhone and Droid, and with keyboard phones like Blackberry and Nokia.
The website allows guests to view and book rooms, browse online and search for interactive maps, and make dining and spa reservations. The group has an introduction and images of each hotel together with contact telephone numbers. In addition the site has a "read me later" function that allows users to switch between their mobile phones and desktop.
Christoph Oberli, the head of e-commerce for the group, commented that Mandarin Oriental is renowned for providing guest-centric technology throughout all of its properties worldwide. The group is delighted to be able to extend this facility in order to bring a condensed and simplified version of its website to travelers on the move.
