Sanya Plans For Flights To Vladivostok

Mudanjiang and Sanya signed a tourism development strategic cooperation agreement at the recent Boao International Tourism Forum, and now the two parties will expand Russian tourist source market and will facilitate the launch of a Vladivostok-Mudanjiang-Sanya route.

Under the agreement, Mudanjiang and Sanya will organize and attract tourism real estate development enterprises and governments and real estate enterprises from other members of the National AAAAA Scenic Area City Alliance to jointly set up a "tourism real estate property transaction alliance" covering the southern, northern, and central regions of China. Property owners in the alliance will develop timeshare villas and extended stay hotel. Mudanjiang will work as the northern base of the alliance based on its tourism properties and health care projects in Jingpo Lake, while Sanya will be the southern base promoting its high-quality tourism real estate enterprises and projects.

In addition, Mudanjiang and Sanya will work together to expand the tourist source market of Russia by holding large-scale tourism promotion events. They will reward and subsidize airlines and tourism enterprises, jointly develop and launch charter flights or non-scheduled flights from Vladivostok to Sanya with stopovers at Mudanjiang, and at another destination chosen by the two parties. The tourism departments of the two cities will build an inter-regional barrier-free tourism cooperation mechanism adopting information sharing, tourism emergency response mechanisms during the Golden Week and important festivals, and an important events communication system.
