Etihad Announces More Flights From Beijing To Abu Dhabi
Etihad Airways has announced that it will increase the number of flights on the Beijing to Abu Dhabi route to five flights each week from April 2010 with the addition of a new flight on Saturdays.
Flight EY889 leaves Beijing at 01:30 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and arrives at Abu Dhabi at 06:40. Flight, EY888, leaves Abu Dhabi at 21:45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The new schedule will also reduce the transfer time for travelers to Istanbul, Athens, and Cairo at Abu Dhabi from ten hours to the current two to three hours.
James Hogan, the CEO of Etihad Airways, commented that the increased number of flights and the improvement of service show the importance the airline attaches to the Chinese market.
Etihad Airways first launched the Abu Dhabi to Beijing route on March 30, 2008, and this is the first direct air route to connect the capitals of China and the UAE. This is the first time the airline has increased the number of flights on this route.
