The French minister of trade, Anne-Marie Idrac, recently stayed at The St. Regis Beijing while leading a delegation to China. The minister was welcome on her arrival by Yngvar Stray, the general manager of the hotel. To celebrate the visit, a cake in the shape of French national flag was specially baked by the hotel's French pastry chef.
