Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel Opens Its Doors

The 330-room Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel is now open under a long-term management agreement with Shanghai Mingjie Real Estate and Development Company.

The property is located close to from shops, nightlife, and a major business hub, and is targeted at both business and leisure travelers with features that include luxurious bedding, LCD televisions, high-speed Internet, and exclusive amenities.

The Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel houses a range of dining options including a casual ambiance at Cafe BLD where the open kitchen has a wood-fire oven; Cantonese delicacies with a modern twist at New Dynasty, serving up steaming hot dim sum accompanied by aromatic teas from the serenity tea bar; sushi, grilled seafood, and lemon sake at Yu Zu Japanese Grill; and The Lounge, an all-day socializing area that offers tapas alongside drinks and entertainment.

For relaxation, there is an indoor swimming pool; a 24 hour fitness center, which is equipped with modern cardio machines and free weights. Mandara Spa will soon be open in the hotel offering seven treatment rooms including a special mud therapy suite that features a handcrafted heated jade slab.

For meetings and events the new Renaissance gem provides five meeting rooms and over 11,000 square feet of event space including a grand ballroom that 5,600 square feet in area and can seat up to 520 people theater-style.
