Regal Hotels Relocates Shanghai Offices To Enhance Development
In a move to strengthen and intensify its business networking and to reinforce its efforts on project development, Regal Hotels Investment & Management (Shanghai) and Regal Hotels International China Regional Office has relocated new offices to North Cao Xi Road in Shanghai.
To celebrate the movement, an opening ceremony was held on May 20,2010 guests including senior executives from China National Offshore Oil Corporation, the Shanghai People's Procuratorate, Shanghai International Conference Management Organization, and Air India.
Regal Hotels International has actively expanded its hotel network with its first regional office, Regal Hotels Investment and Management (Shanghai) — previously called Regal Hotels Management (Shanghai) – which was set up in mid 2008.
To cope with the positive impact from of Shanghai World Expo 2010 on hotel development in Shanghai RHI's first China regional office was set up in 2009. Led by Ben Poon, the group director of sales for RHI and the regional director of sales and marketing for China of Regal Hotels Investment & Management (Shanghai), the focus of the China Regional Office will be on marketing strategies, the sales and reservations activities of Regal Hotels, and maximizing the group’s revenue and profit.
Over the last two years, RHI has made significant progress in expanding its China network.
In late 2007, RHI was entrusted by Shanghai Jinfeng Investment Company with the management of Regal Jinfeng Hotel, which opened in Shanghai in October 2009.
In February 2009, RHI and the Sichuan Master Investment Group Company entered into a hotel management agreement under which Regal was entrusted to manage a five star luxury hotel in Chengdu — Regal Master Hotel which opened in January 2010.
In August 2009, RHI acquired a new hotel management contract to manage a five-star luxury hotel being developed by a leading maker of down apparel — Bosideng Holdings. Located in Dezhou, Shandong, Regal Kangbo Hotel will be the first five-star international hotel in Dezhou and is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2010.
