Eaton Luxe Nanqiao Shanghai Open For Business

Eaton Luxe, Nanqiao, Shanghai recently opened its doors to travelers in the newly developed business district of Fengxian in South Shanghai.

Managed by UK-based Eaton Hotels International, Eaton Luxe, Nanqiao, Shanghai is the first in the company's planned portfolio in China; and the group plans to set up about 10 properties in Asia over the next five years.

The 204-room, 20-storey property is positioned as the first international deluxe hotel in the town of Nanqiao, where several multinational companies have established high-tech manufacturing plants in recent years.

Rooms and suites range in floor area from 33 to 101 square meters and include: 180 Luxe Rooms; 15 corner suites named Felicity 2-Bay Suites; three Amity Family Suites, four Unity Meeting Suites; and a Double Happiness Honeymoon Suite. The 101-square-meter Presidential Suite on the top floor has a separate sitting room, two bedrooms, and a dining area. All rooms have modern conveniences such as flat screen TV sets, DVD players, iHome stereo system, and broadband Internet. Suites are equipped with a laptop docking station, sizeable work desks and easy chairs, and power showers.

The E-Club on level three of the hotel offers additional services, at a nominal extra fee. It features a lounge where complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments and evening cocktails are served daily. It has a library stocked with newspapers, magazines and other reading materials, and computer and high-speed Internet access. Next to the lounge is the E-Club business center, which provides professional secretarial services and rental of various business equipment.

Restaurants include Yat Tung Heen which serves the Cantonese dishes that have earned its counterpart at the Eaton Hong Kong a one star Michelin rating. In addition to the main restaurant ten individual dining rooms cater for private groups of 20 to 50 persons. Metro Buffet and Grills offers all-day dining with international buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a la carte choices; while the "World Kitchen" is an open kitchen with continuing live food preparations and the Japanese counter presents a variety of Japanese dishes. Next to the Metro Buffet and Grill are the T-Bar with live sports broadcasts and the Metro Lounge. Main St Cafe is a coffee bar serving fresh brews and snacks. It is located in one corner of the naturally-lit hotel lobby with access to outdoor tables and chairs.

For meetings and events the Diamond Ballroom accommodates from 600 to 800 persons and can be divided into two minor ballrooms with soundproof partitioning. Ten other rooms of varying sizes and seating up to 80 persons are located nearby and are easily accessible for conference groups that include break-out sessions in the program. A full range of meeting aids and the latest audio-visual equipment is available, including simultaneous translation system.

The hotel also has a fitness center and spa that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is equipped with a full range of state-of-the-art cardio and exercise equipment and weights; plus there is an indoor swimming pool.
