Ctrip.com and Nokia are collaborating to offer a hotel booking service to Nokia smartphone users in China.
They have put the Ctrip.com logo on the homepage of Nokia Ovi Maps. Users can visit the tailormade Ctrip mobile website by clicking the logo. The system will list information about hotels sorted by distance from the user's location. Users can also search for more hotels by region and star rating, get detailed information including room types, price and geographic location, and book a room online. After the making a reservation, users can find the hotel with the help of the Ovi Maps navigation system.
Although the mobile website is customized for Nokia, users can get as much hotel information as through the normal Ctrip.com Internet users website.
It is reported that more than ten models of Nokia smartphone can support the Ctrip mobile website and Ctrip.com and Nokia say they will will jointly develop other travel services including air ticket enquiry and booking.
Ctrip's mobile website was launched in April 2010.
