Van Mierlo Takes The Helm At Shangri-La Shenzhen

Marcel van Mierlo has been appointed general manager of Shangri La Hotel, Shenzhen.

A Dutch national with over 20 years of hospitality management experience, van Mierlo’s career has taken him to various destinations around the globe, including the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. He has been with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts for 12 years, starting his career with the group holding management positions as part of the pre-opening team at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong. He subsequently held senior management positions at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong. Prior to this appointment, he was hotel manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
