Beijing Capital Airport's July Passenger Traffic Up 16.5%

Beijing Capital International Airport Company, the operator of Beijing airport, has said that passenger traffic through the airport in July 2010 increased by 16.5% year on year.

The number of domestic passengers increased 13.2% from the previous year while the number of international tourists, including those from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan rose by 28.9%.

The total number of aircraft takeoffs and landings at the airport grew 7.5% year on year to 45,570 in July, with international flights and domestic flights rising by 17.1% and 5.2% respectively.

The airport operator also said that passenger traffic grew 13.7% year on year to 41.94 million in the period from January to July 2010.
