Langham Place Beijing Capital Aiport Opens Its Doors

Langham Place, Beijing Capital Airport recently opened — with a mission to make an airport hotel a fun place to stay.


According to Mark Francis, the hotel's general manager, Langham aims not just to create a convenient stopover hotel, but to be one of the most fun places to be in the capital of the world's largest nation. The hotel features DJs in the lobby, loft-style apartments and a 24-hour high-tech environment for work and play.

The five-star hotel is situated next to Beijing Capital International Airport's Terminal Three, is conveniently located close to the New China International Exhibition Centre, and is a 15-minute ride from the city on the Airport Express Railway. Guests can take advantage of the hotels complimentary airport shuttle service in buses painted in Langham's trademark pink.

The guest rooms and suites range from 45 to 300 square meters and are appointed with Langham's signature Dream Big Beds, have marble bathrooms with oversized baths and separate walk-in rain showers, and are equipped with electronic gadgets including Internet Protocol phones, iPod docking stations, large flat-panel TVs, DVD / CD players, and WiFi.

Guests on the hotel's executive floors have access to the two-level Club L lounge, which is open around the clock and serves complimentary breakfast, all-day snacks, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and canapes, and provides extras such as a boardroom, Internet pods, a pool table, and game stations.

Bars and restaurants include a 24-hour bar and internet hub portal — Work and Play which allows guest to blur the boundaries between business and pleasure by accessing WiFi on big screens in a relaxed and fun setting. A more elegant Chinese dining experience is on offer at Ming Court, while The Place serves international cuisine. Guests can also rock into the night at Fuel which features hot bands and DJs and big screens for sporting events. In March 2011 the interactive Japanese Robatayaki and Bar, Tokoro will open.

The hotel's 24-hour gym, Cardio Studio, is equipped with the latest in revival technology, and offers personal trainers lakeside views.

For meetings and there are over 2,700 square meters naturally-lit-filled function space with meeting rooms ranging in size from 40 to 800 square meters.
