Du Xin works in the Beijing office of the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation. She tells of her experiences while organizing events in Beijing.

What kinds of events or meetings does your company hold in Beijing each year? How large are these activities?
Our company usually holds one or two meetings each year, with 50 partcipants, and they last for three days.

What are your criteria for choosing a suitable venue in Beijing?
Outstanding facilities and outstanding service; an efficient banquet team, high-quality food and beverage, and a high price/performance ratio for the meeting package.

If the event or meeting is to be held in a hotel, what are the requirements?
It must be near to the company and be easy to get to. It should have a high price/performance ratio and good quality accommodation. And the meeting venues should meet the requirements of the meeting or event.

Which hotel's meeting products and services have impressed you the most? And why?
The Westin Beijing Chaoyang has the best facilities and services of all the hotels I have ever chosen. The Jinmao Ballroom has a widescreen projection facility which creates a good visual effect for meetings. The banquet team always keeps up with client’s requirements.

Great Wall Hotel Sheraton Beijing, The Westin Beijing Chaoyang, Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center, Hotel Kunlun, Yuyang Hotel, and Guangming Hotel.

Which places would you recommend to visitors coming to Beijing?
The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall, Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall, Shichahai, the Summer Palace, and Houhai. For dining Da Zhai Men is a good choice.
