Two top executives have been appointed to the Swisstouches Hotel Xian which is scheduled to open in 2011.
Johnny Mathis has been appointed as the hotel's general manager. Mathis, a Swiss national, graduated from Hotel Management School, Lausanne. He has 42 years experience in the hospitality industry with a career that has taken him around the world including to Switzerland, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, The Maldives, Egypt, and Hong Kong. Mathis has been the general manager at 10 different international five-star hotels since 1990 and has gained extensive experience in opening new hotels and implementing high operational standards. Prior to joining Swisstouches Hotel Xian, he was the opening general manager of the deluxe DIVA Resort in The Maldives.
Will Gai has been appointed as the director of sales and marketing and is currently involved in the hotel's pre-opening operation. He will oversee marketing, revenue management, communications and sales. Prior to joining Swisstouches, he was the director of sales and marketing of Sofitel Xian on Renmin Square. He has more than 13 years of sales and management experience.
