Mainland Visitors To Hong Kong Up 21% During Golden Week
In line with the increasing numbers of tourists traveling in mainland China the number of mainland tourists visiting Hong Kong rose about 21% year on year to 662,248: according to Hong Kong Tourism Board.
HKTB reports that a single-day high of 117,409 tourist arrivals was recorded on October 1, 2010.
About 465,606 mainland tourists traveled to Hong Kong on the individual visit scheme, accounting for 70% of the total number of mainland visitors and up by 21% compared to 2009.
