Hainan Airlines To Launch Direct Beijing-Cairo Route

Hainan Airlines, the largest non-state owned airline in China, has announced that it will launch direct flights on the route from Beijing to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, in November 2010.

Direct flights between Beijing and Cairo had been exclusively operated by EgyptAir, the Egyptian flag carrier and a member of Star Alliance.

The new service will be operated twice weekly using widebody Airbus A330 aircraft and will shorten travel hours between the two cities.
