Afriqiyah Airways Launches Tripoli-Beijing Route
Libya's Afriqiyah Airways inaugurate its first flight to Beijing from Tripoli, the capital of Libya, on November 2, 2010, in a move to officially start operating direct flights linking the two countries.
Flights on an Airbus A330 from Tripoli to Beijing will operate every Tuesday and Thursday, departing at 10:00, while flights from Beijing to Tripoli will depart at 17:30.
Travel time between the Libyan capital and the Chinese capital will be 12 hours.
The new service is expected to offer conveniences for passengers traveling between the two countries. In the meantime, passengers traveling to other cities in Africa will also benefit from the new route.
As one of the major airlines in Africa, Afriqiyah Airways operates domestic services between Tripoli and Benghazi and international scheduled services to more than 25 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
