China Southern Passenger Volume Up 15.1% In October
China Southern Airlines, the country's largest commercial carrier, has said that its October 2010 passenger volume rose 15.1% year on year to 7.05 million.
The Guangzhou-based carrier's passenger load factor increased 3.9 percentage points to 82.2% in October.
In October, the carrier handled 103,250 metric tons of cargo and mail, 34.6% more than in the same period of last year.
In the first 10 months of this year, it transported 64.67 million passengers, up 17.2% from the same period of last year, with load factors increasing 4.2% percentage points to 79.5%.
In the meantime, its cargo and mail volume was 917,600 metric tons, up 33.5% from the same period of 2009.
