British Airways Upgrades Passenger Capacity Between London And China
To celebrate 30 years of flying to China British Airways has announced in Beijing that it will launch an extra direct flight from London to Shanghai, as part of its efforts to expand its presence in the Chinese market.
According to Ashley Cowen, British Airways Asia Pacific commercial manager, the airline will launch another flight between Shanghai and London in the summer. This increase means British Airways will have six flights a week on the Shanghai route, regardless of season.
He pointed out that China has become one of the most dynamic aviation markets in the world. The carrier will continue to increase its investments in the Chinese market to cope with the increasing demand for air travel in the country.
British Airways has also increased its passenger capacity 26% on its flights to Beijing, and it plans to increase the number of flights linking London and China.
