New GM And DOSM For Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-Town

Two top executives have been appointed at Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-Town, a new 360-room, five-star hotel opening in January 2011 in Beijing's central business district.

American hotelier Joseph E. Zitnik, who has been named as general manager of Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-Town, has over twenty years experience in the hospitality industry. A graduate of the University of Hawaii, he started his career in 1988 with Hyatt Regency Waikiki in Honolulu and in 1999 he joined InterContinental Hotels Group. Prior to his new posting Zitnik was the area general manager of IHG Tianjin Cluster and general manager of Crowne Plaza Tianjin Binhai.

Melissa Lau has been appointed as the director of sales and marketing of Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-Town. She has 15 years sales and marketing experience. having worked in the Swissotel Group, Hilton Hotels Group, Shangri-La Hotels Group, InterContinental Hotel Group, and Accor Hotels Group. Before joining Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-Town, Lau was DOSM at Crowne Plaza Tianjin Binhai.
