Hainan To Develop 15 Tourist Resorts In Five Years

During the twelfth five-year plan period, Hainan province will finish construction of 15 key tourist resorts and 63 five-star hotels.

Among the 15 tourist resorts, three will be theme parks for aviation, the oceans, and movies. Other resorts are will be in Haitang Bay, Yalong Bay, Lingshui Qingshui Bay, Wanning Shenzhou Peninsula, Ledong Longmu Bay, Changjiang Qizi Bay, Wenchang Tongguling, Wanning Shimei Bay, Lingsui Xiangshui Bay, the Boao Forum for Asia permanent site, Haikou Meilisha and west coast, and Haikou Longwan.

With regard to the 63 five-star hotels, 20 will be developed in Haitang Bay National Coastal Tourist Resort, nine will be in Changjiang Qizi Bay Tourist Resort, six will be in Qingshui Bay Tourist Resort, five will be in Tongguling Ecotourism Resort, another five will be in Longmu Bay Tourist Resort, and the rest are in other tourist resorts. By then, Hainan Island will have more than 100 five-star hotels, becoming one of the regions that have the most five-star hotels.

Meanwhile, Hainan will build eight to ten AAAAA state-level scenic areas and spots by 2015.
