Guangxi To Double Four And Five-star Hotel Numbers

It is learned from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Government that it aims to double the number of four and five-star hotels by 2015.

Currently Guangxi has 13 five-star hotels and over 50 four-star hotels. The region is planning to have 30 five-star and 110 four-star hotels by 2015.

In Nanning and Guilin, the region will develop conference hotels with full facilities and distinctive landscaping; in Beihai, Fangchenggang, and Qinzhou the region will develop upscale resorts; other cities will develop other kinds of hotels with special features and different styles.

During the twelfth five-year plan period, Guangxi will focus on development of MICE hotels in Nanning, Guilin as a recreation and vacation base, Dongxing-Pingxiang-Longzhou-Daxin-Jingxi for cross-border travel business hotels, Tonkin Gulf Rim coastal resort base, Baise doline adventure hotels, Bama Hechi rural longevity and health villages, and Daming Mountain and Shiwandashan resort.
