BRICS Leaders At Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa

The third BRICS Leaders Meeting 2011 was held in Sanya recently. Chaired by China's president Hu Jintao, the annual BRICS Meeting brings together leaders from the world' s fastest developing countries. High level officials from Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa were invited to this key meeting in China's only tropical island-Sanya, Hainan. As the reception resort, Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa hosted Dilma Rousseff, the president of Brazil and Kim Hwang-sik the prime minister of South Korea in addition to several important officials from Russia. The VIP guests were greeted on a red carpet and were welcomed by Stephan Stoss, the general manager of Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa who personally escorted them to their suites via a private elevator. The Indian delegation took advantage of Yalong Bay's beachfront to hold an Indian style sunset dinner party at the resort's Deep Blue Beach Bar.
