Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai Celebrates Five Stars

A celebration was held recently at Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai to mark the award of its official five-star status by the Shanghai Tourism Trade Association.

Wang Chen Yun, the vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Zhu Chen Rong, the deputy director of the Shanghai Tourism Trade Association, Wang Chong Huan, the chairman of Topsun Group, Jolyon Bulley, the senior vice president of operations Greater China of InterContinental Hotels Group, and Zhou Li Bo, the Shanghainese stand-up comedian, attended the ceremony.

Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai is owned by Wenzhou Topsun Group, who have appointed IHG as the management company. The leaders of Wenzhou Topsun Group and IHG gave the speeches on the ceremony. Then the representative from Shanghai Tourism Trade Association read the official certification to announce that Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai has been rated as a five star hotel.

Commenting on the award Dominic Brennan, the general manager of Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai said that he was pleased to announce that Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai had been formally rated as a five-star hotel. Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai is located in Pudong, the heart of the new business area of Shanghai. 30 minutes from Pudong International Airport and 15 minutes from the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone. Shanghai New International Expo Centre is only five minutes from the hotel and there will be a complimentary shuttle service during fair periods. Close to the hotel are Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Pudong Expo, and Shanghai Oriental Art Centre.

The hotel offers 319 rooms including 30 suites and 35 club rooms. For events there are six meeting rooms and two ballrooms have natural light and are designed to accommodate 10 to 500 people.
