Shenzhen Bay Park To Build 12 Themed Regional Parks

It is learned from Shenzhen Park Service that Shenzhen Bay Park, consisting of the Mangrove Coastal Ecological Park and the Shenzhen Bay Coastal Leisure Zone, will open in August 2011.

Shenzhen Park Service says Shenzhen Bay Park is located at the southwest coast of Shenzhen and covers 128.74 hectares.

Shenzhen Mangrove Coastal Ecological Park was opened in December 2000, covering 20.67 hectares. It has a mangrove zone nine kilometers long. Shenzhen Coastal Leisure Zone which is now under construction will be divided into three areas with 9.06 kilometers of coastline. Along the coastline there will be 12 themed regional parks. Tourists will be able to easily get to any of them on foot or by bicycle.
