Ctrip.com Introduces New Wireless Client
Ctrip.com has officially launched its Ctrip 2.1 iPhone and Android Client, which it says is more practical than the previous version.
Compared with the Ctrip Wireless 2.0 version released in March 2011, there are several functional updates including real-time flight information and reminders; reservations for Hong Kong and Macau hotels; auto login; and personal information modification.
Ctrip.com announced its wireless strategy in October 2010, saying it would enter the mobile phone online reservation business via one site and three clients: the WAP website m.ctrip.com and three mobile phone clients for iPhone, Android, and S60V3. Users can book domestic tickets and hotels in China via their mobile phones in the same way as they do through other channels.
Jiang Hao, the vice president of Ctrip.com, said that in the future Ctrip.com will expand more in wireless service, integrating information such a location, transportation, and destination, to make Ctrip Wireless a useful tool for travelers.
